Out and About at the Vintage Market

Hi Friends, today I'm taking you with me to my fave vintage market 

in the area for a late spring /early summer visit. 

You all know I definitely have a soft spot for wheelbarrows, carts, and wagons, etc. Anything with wheels and preferable could fit on top of a table or cabinet for display... So here's a wonderful vintage piece from my friends Sara and Abby at Sweet Magnolia's Farm here at The Vintage Peddler in Springfield. It's my go-to vintage market for a quick get-away that gives me a much needed boost of inspiration and fun seasonal ideas.

I always make a bee-line to their space to oogle and inspect all the amazing vintage goodies they have. Literally you could spend hours in there just taking it all in. I always leave with several great vintage items.  I have lots of pics today from around the store in no particular order. So enjoy the view...

I always admire Sara's knack for displaying a shelf with vintage articles. She knows the fine art of using neutrals and textures to play off of each other.

This old rake is small and perfect for a French Country Garden display.

How fun would this little green dresser be on the back porch or in a garden shed?

This market is always full of great vintage pieces.

Vintage pups, anyone?

There's such a great variety of shops and spaces there. Several of them have more of a masculine vibe, like the one below with deer taxidermy and boy scout uniforms.

Love the paint on this wonderful little chippy dresser.

The old metal garden bench is wonderful! And just look at that pink/green springy quilt.

This off white corner architectural china cabinet was so popular in the 30's and 40's new builds. So many cottages had these incorporated into the dining room design.

A few booths were starting to decorate with patriotic items and color.

So many beautiful architectural elements for booth entries.

Many of you know Meloney and Brian Russel from my shop blog I did for them, The Seed Box years ago, and they're a fixture at the Texas shows each year. They are extremely talented and creative. You can check out the blog I did for them HERE. They have several spaces at this market that have a signature design aesthetic.

Out back of the store, is a covered timber trestle porch filled with great outdoor pieces.

What a great old sink for a potting station.
