After nearly 30 years, Henry Buhla former mutual-fund manager turned photographer, philanthropist, and art collectorhas listed his four-bedroom Soho loft for a cool $19 million. Buhl bought two adjacent units at 102 Prince Street and 114 Greene Street in 1990 for about $2.5 million and combined them into a sprawling, 7,000+ square-foot residence. Located ina classicSohocast-iron building, one side of the home is luxuriously decorated in the Renaissance style while the other offers a unique sculpture garden filled with Buhls hand-themed art collection featuring works by Pablo Picasso, Auguste Rodin, and Fernando Botero. The 89-year-old is looking to downsize, according to an interview with the Wall Street Journal, and is willing to sell prospective buyers a handful of his art as well.

The home has two private keyed elevator entrances, one of which opens onto a 750-square-foot gallery leading to the homes main rooms: a library lined with built-in shelves, a corner living/dining room featuring a stone fireplace from Francein 1490, and the master suite.

The living area is open to a wood-forward kitchen, boasting plenty of cabinet space, a large center island,a double Sub-Zero refrigerator, and two dishwashers. Theresa second bedroom with an en-suite bathroom and a half-bath for guests located off the kitchen.

Arched wooden doors in the dining area lead to Buhls indoor sculpture garden, complete with AstroTurf, potted trees, and a fountain. The majority of Buhls hand-themed art collection is on display here, lending this bright and airy portion of the home a far more whimsical vibe.

White-washed brick and curtainless windows also contribute to the brighter, airier feel on this side of the residence, which comprises a second, smaller kitchen, an office, two additional bedrooms, and a laundry room. The purchase price includes four storage rooms in the buildings basement.
